Heya everyone thanks for tuning in to the news feed!

I, for one, am happy to announce a real news feed for the first time in the LS! i think, with a little sacrifice from us all, and some dedication, we can turn this linkshell, and server into an awesome place. heres the idea:

We manipulate the market, but not raising prices. We lower them. as much as we can, and for as many items as we can. i have a full detailed plan ready to go.

Usin a LS mule (a spare account i have) we donate our items we want sold to the LS mule. The LS mule will sit in lower jueno, and advertise our earth shattering lower prices. Then, when the individuals item is sold, the money will be sent back to them. The records will all be kept via a Microsoft excel file, and the file will be update Daily/Weekly onto our website here. If square enix accepts paypal payment, i will set up a donation function (ive done this before dont worry) were we as an ls can help upkeep the cost of the mule, as well as our Ventrilo server (more updates on the vent server later)

Im thinking distributing the profits to the ls on a weekly basis, only giving the amount earned by the donator. I.E: if you sell 5 Ordelle's Bronzepieces for 3,000 Gil each, you shall receive 15,000 Gil at the end of the week.

As a fair warning, i feel i need to point the following out:
1) at the begginning, we will not be making a lot of money. We need to get our name out there.
2) People who dont contribute, will not receive any funds. this idea is not to give free money to the ls, as much as i want too. It still needs to be earned.
3) We will msot likely start buy selling high ticket items, such as alexandrite, and dynamis currency.
4) Im estimating that it will only take 2-3 weeks to get our LS mule publicized enough to make this lucrative.
5) NO COMPLAINTS! you either donate, or you do not. However, please be aware that the more contributors we have, the better this idea will work.

Remember this! this isnt just to help us as a linkshell, but it will help the rest fo the server as well! take thsi chance to be that whtie knight for the rest of the people!


(please use the comments section to discuss finer points of this idea. such as distribution times, and who can log into the character and when? remember we need to keep maximum uptime on our LS mule)

Horrible idea, it doesn't help our ls members by making them cut their potential profits and we'll be looked upon as fools by the rest of the server for…well, cutting our profits. Other people will catch on and buy stuff from our mule to resell 'em, therefore not impacting the market and probably will get us laughed at. <3

If that were so the case, then why do prices fluctuate over time? Why do they rise? why do they fall? theres a simple rule called supply and demand, which dictates that in a general case, the higher the demand and the lower the supply, the higher the price. The lower the demand, and the higher supply, the lower the price.

It's not that I don't believe in common sense supply and demand, but we don't have a supply big enough to really alter the prices. I don't think it'll work but I'm more than happy to watch you guys try it out. Cite sources? Common sense :D

Ahhh youve hit on a very good point ika. you are correc tin stateing that we would need a rather large supply. To that, i can offer a few pieces of advice. the first of which requires patience, we will save all we can for say, a week or two of hardcore farming dyanmis (to thos who ish to participate that is) secondly, we would undercut prices by a decent amount but never by a ridicolous amount. the prices will be agreed upon by the upper and lower echelon members. (if thats agreeable) secondly, rememebr that prices will always be fluctuating, so our prices will also be fluctuating. This is a long term process, not somethign well be sucessfull at immediately
